A bit about Bill
Bill Arnott is the bestselling author of A Perfect Day for a Walk, the award-winning Gone Viking travelogues, and A Season on Vancouver Island. Recipient of a Fellowship at London’s Royal Geographical Society for his expeditions, he’s a frequent guest speaker and contributor to magazines, universities, podcasts, TV and radio. When not trekking with a small pack and journal, or showing off cooking skills as a culinary school dropout, Bill can be found on Canada’s west coast, where he lives near the sea on Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh land.
“In his uniquely entertaining way, Arnott enriches our understanding of our world, its places and its people.”
— Timothy Niedermann, Ottawa Review of Books
“Witty, well-read and effortlessly entertaining, Arnott may just be the perfect travel companion.”
— Thomas Lundy, Canadian Geographic
